A happy New Year?
When we asked our community who was excited about the new year, 84% responded yes but that leaves 16% of us not feeling so positive about2022. If the pressure of setting goals for the new year is getting you down, here are some suggestions to navigate the next few weeks and beyond:
Don’t be too hard on yourself
You're you, so accept yourself for who you are, faults and all. We all have different strengths and challenges so don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Decide what is really important to you
Just because it feels like everyone else is doing it,doesn’t mean you should too.
Share how you are feeling
Reach out to others and you may find they feel the same or can help.
Make small changes
If what you want or need to achieve this year seems unachievable, break it down into smaller goals. Incremental change involves gradual, incremental improvement and development and is often easier to achieve and sustain rather than making big, radical changes.
