After spending over 20 years teaching, not believing I would ever want a career change, the stress and anxiety built to an unsustainable point. I experienced a mental health crisis. I had to leave. I had created For the Love of Tidying a year before and was absolutely loving every session, the transformations and meeting new people (something teaching had never given me). But something really surprised me, the impact on lives... on my clients well-being and especially their mental health.
I have since created 'Cluttered to Calm', a membership which supports not only decluttering, but also well-being. I am now extending my knowledge and understanding through to gaining a distinction in a 'First Aid for Mental Health' diploma and I now offer free workshops at my local mental health drop in centre (Grapevine Wellbeing Centre in Buxton). I am even running the Chester Marathon in October to raise money for them....I am NOT a runner.
I work to ease mental health struggles and improve lives - decluttering can absolutely transform families...not just their homes.
